Pocket Bringhurst

Pocket Bringhurst

This was of the first major projects I completed in my undergraduate studies for a graphic design course. It is a pocket guide that is made up of all the notes I have taken on the book The Elements of Typographic Style by Robert Bringhurst. This book extensively details the rules of type and its history. Students we asked to typeset notes they had taken on the content.

cover design

The cover design was created to reflect and respect the content of Robert Bringhurst’s The Elements of Typographic Style. I found an ampersand fitting as it is representative of the pure beauty of simplistic type.

my process

User experience was at the core of my design work when creating my typographic layout. Things I was particularly interested in were: line length, margins, and readability.
